11 Applause-Worthy Design Details from the 2026 Kips Bay Show House in Palm Beach

Iconic coastal motifs are met with a little bit of edge at every turn.

By

Palm Beach style is known for its use of botanical motifs, bold color palettes, and heavy (but tasteful) incorporation of bamboo and wicker. And while the 2026 Kips Bay Show House, located in the coastal city, captures all of those trademarks (and more), the 23 designers chosen to reinvent the spaces in the sprawling waterfront property have pushed the boundaries of what this style can encapsulate.

Design firm BAMO, Inc. showcased Palm Beach style through a modern lens, with a slatted wood ceiling in the sunroom that resembles waves and serves as the crown jewel in the neutral-toned room. Bell Design Inc.’s wellness space, complete with a three-person sauna and juice bar, demonstrates the thought that goes into creating a residential space that far surpasses simple aesthetics and basic functionality. Lori Morris’s Gilded Palm room captures the luxury and glamour of the classic style with excitement and sunshine woven into every detail.

The ninth annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach has taken over two properties: a sprawling Intracoastal House at 3410 North Flagler Drive and a smaller, oh-so-charming Palm Cottage located across the street. It’s open for the public to view now through March 24th, 2026; proceeds benefit the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. If you can’t make it this year, you’ll find 11 of our favorite details below.

In Lewis Gallo Design’s Champagne Conservatory, a custom seashell-encrusted bar anchors the space and informs the color palette. Crafted by All Seasons Accessories, the sculptural piece brings undeniable coastal character into the pastel-colored room, encouraging all who enter to joyfully pop a bottle of bubbly (or two).

2

Sculptural Ceiling

Modern living room showcasing contemporary design elements.
Nick Sargent

A Palm Beach sunroom may call to mind images of trelliswork and punchy hues, but the team at BAMO, Inc. wanted to do something different. Instead, their sanctuary is topped off with an undulating slatted ceiling, built by LEEDS Custom Design. It captures movement as the shadows shift with the changing light, and mirrors the subtle silver wave pattern found in the Belgian linen curtains draped in front of the walls.

The maroon stone accents in Amy Young Design’s jewelry box kitchen are the protagonists of the space. Made from Velour Quartzite from Primestones and fabricated by Innovative Stone Design, the matching countertops and range hood look almost soft to the touch and help pull out the subtle blush shade from the Kravet wallcovering.

Piscine Chairs

Stylish home office with a desk, decorative elements, and art.
Nick Sargent

The vintage 1970s iron accent chairs are the perfect pieces to start the Pisces season. This salon by Pappas Miron Design is meant to act as a refined place of refuge out of the hot Florida sunshine. It’s elegant and inviting, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it takes itself too seriously. The fish chairs, checkerboard floor, and rich rug add the perfect amount of playful energy.

The team at Bell Design Inc. covered a lot of ground in their backyard redesign, but the wellness zone is what really stood out to us. The three-person sauna by Kohler provides a private space to unwind and sweat, while the shaded seating areas serve as respites to sit back and relax afterwards with a cold drink from the colorful juice bar.

Pattern Drenched Chamber

Cozy, floral-patterned bedroom with four-poster bed and decorative elements.
Nick Sargent

This eccentric and pattern-filled guest room was dreamt up by Danielle Balanis Design, who based this entire space around a rich Lee Jofa x Oscar de la Renta floral print fabric called Jessup. From the ceiling to the canopy to the chair and ottomans, this zesty pattern owns the space and brings it to life.

If you’ve been keeping up with our 2026 trend reports, then you know that gaming corners (and even dedicated rooms) are about to be all the rage. Designer Deborah Wecselman reworked the great room in the show house, using one portion of the large space to house a Todd Merril table with a vintage lucite chessboard on top.

Wavy Vanity

Elegant bathroom with marble countertop and decorative elements.
Nick Sargent

The vanity in this bathroom off of LTA Interiors’s mahjong room steals the show. The wavy design at the bottom—used to hold rolled-up towels—is reminiscent of a boutique hotel bathroom, while the pink stone from Artistic Tile brings in thoughtful feminine energy. It’s luxurious, but also the type of bathroom that’s ready for girls’ trip conversations and endless touch-ups.

Those in-between moments within the home are deserving of beautiful design, and Lucy O’Brien of Tartan & Toile demonstrates that here. The custom Vietnamese silk lanterns don’t just illuminate the hallway in an interesting way; they bring brightness, joy, and intrigue into the space, even when they’re dark.
