Coachella kicks off festival season each year, drawing massive crowds to the California desert.
Tucked away from the chaos, the Rose Garden offers a serene, design-forward escape.
VIP guests can access the space all weekend—and even book curated, chef-led dinners.
Each year, the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival kicks off concert season, drawing hundreds of thousands of attendees to the Southern California desert for a weekend centered around live music and culture.
But away from the packed main stages sits the elegant Rose Garden, a secluded retreat where guests can unwind amid lush flowers, striking sculptures, and tall palm trees. With curated food and drink vendors, air-conditioned bathrooms, shaded lounge areas, and bars, the space is thoughtfully designed to offer a peaceful escape from the festival’s high energy.
Those with VIP passes have access to the garden throughout the weekend, while optional family-style, four-course dinners are available for an additional $363 per evening. Featuring menus crafted by renowned local and international chefs, these dining experiences are hosted by Outstanding in the Field, a company established in 1999 as a bold departure from traditional restaurant dining.
For the 2026 festival, chefs include Michael Beckman of Workshop Kitchen & Bar, Alan Sanz of Mírate & Daisy Margarita Bar, Jonathan Harris of Linden, Charles Namba of Camélia & Ototo, Donnie Masterton of The Restaurant, Christian Herrera of Live Baja Catering, and Nico de Leon of Tito Rudy’s and Ako.
House Beautiful's Style Editor at Large, Lucy Bamman, visited the Rose Garden at Coachella in 2022, and it was a festival highlight for her.
"Harry Styles headlined Coachella, clad in a head-to-toe purple velvet leisure suit. To the crowd's delight, Styles brought out Shania Twain to join him onstage for an impressive rendition of 'Man, I Feel Like a Woman!' I was happily seated in the Rose Garden, as I had been the entire weekend since discovering this world-class oasis in the palms," Bamman explained. "I couldn't have been more thrilled to enjoy the show from afar, seated among the roses with a specialty cocktail in hand."
