Similar to how you’d want to refresh your wardrobe for summer, our design editors are ready to make some quick tweaks here and there to their homes. We’re focused on swapping out our heavy bedding for lighter covers, popping spring tulips into our vases, and changing up the throw pillow covers. Once the indoor situation feels good, we’re moving to assess the outdoors. We’re on the hunt for more seating, and our latest find might be the best one yet. Enter Costco’s Sunvilla Elliot Egg Chair. It’s just the summertime, cozy piece everyone needs in their backyard or porch, perfect for sitting on while you drink your morning coffee or for curling up with a good book.
The cushion is encased in Sunbrella fabric, which is easily the most durable for any weather condition. It's stain-, mold-, and mildew-resistant, so you won't have to rush to cover it when it rains. "The chair is enormous, too! It's possible for a nearly-six-footer to curl up in it with a book," one reviewer wrote.
The only downside to this beautiful piece? The price. It retails for $599.99 online. We were able to spot it in a Colorado warehouse for $499.99, but if the location near you doesn't have one in stock, we have good news. We found another version of the egg chair on Amazon for HALF the price. It has all the features that make the Costco one so appealing: four soft cushions that surround you on all sides, all-weather wicker suited for indoor and outdoor use, and that oversized frame that'll keep you from bumping your head. It even has a weight capacity of 440 pounds, so you can curl up with your furry friend.
If you want to add an egg chair to other parts of your house, we have a few more favorites ahead. We even included some hanging egg chair options for that swaying hammock feel. Get ready to soak up the rays in style.
