I Found the Best Hidden Gems in Walmart’s Furniture Section, and They Look Surprisingly Expensive

As a new homeowner, here’s what I’m buying.

By

As a new homeowner, I’m always looking for stylish, well-made furniture that brings character to my space without eating into my budget. I was inspired to take a dive into Walmart’s selection because I know Drew Barrymore’s Walmart-exclusive Beautiful line is an editor favorite. From there, I discovered statement-making accent chairs to patio sets. Even beyond Barrymore, there’s plenty to choose from—but finding the truly special pieces takes some digging. So I curated the furniture I’d actually add to my own home, including an abstract coffee table, dining chairs with spindle legs, and more finds for less.

Walmart’s collection of in-house and hosted brands spans a wide range of design styles, making it easy to mix and match pieces for a layered look that feels collected rather than overly coordinated. Shop contemporary essentials from Mainstays, rustic and countryside-inspired designs from The Pioneer Woman, and plenty of other stylish finds in between. I even spotted several outdoor pieces on sale for an end-of-season score, along with small-space-friendly furniture and designs with built-in storage.

Outfitted with padded cushioning and three accent pillows, this cozy piece is perfect for your reading nook, living room, or bedroom. Director of Content Strategy Rachel Crocetti, who owns the chair in sage, says, “I was searching for a great accent chair for my living room that didn't completely break the bank and could complement our cream and green color scheme. As a reader, I needed something specifically where I could curl my legs under me comfortably, too. The Drew Chair is affordable, but doesn’t look or feel ‘cheap’ and has already become a fan favorite of mine, my dog's, and just about everyone who visits!”

This sculptural coffee table might transform your living room into what will feel like a personal art gallery. The cloud-like shape is a talking point, to say the least.
