Hannah Montana celebrates its 20th anniversary with a nostalgic reunion special streaming on Disney+ and Hulu, featuring Miley Cyrus back on set.

The iconic Malibu beach house—especially its recognizable façade—remains a defining visual of the show and a real-life fan landmark.

Recently listed for $20.95 million, the renovated property still carries its pop culture legacy.

Hannah Montana, the show that gave Miley Cyrus her breakout role, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special airing exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu. While you won’t be able to tune in via cable like the good old days, this one-off reunion promises to channel prime 2010s nostalgia as Miley revisits the set where we watched her fictional double life unfold.

The set is iconic, from the neon “EAT” sign over the kitchen sink to Miley/Hannah’s hidden closet, but the most recognizable feature? The façade of the beachfront property, which served as a recurring shot in almost every episode of the show’s first three seasons.

The bright white beach house, fitted with floor-to-ceiling bay windows and a glass-paneled upper-level deck, became an instant setting indicator. Eagle-eyed fans could even spot the property in real life just walking the shoreline of Malibu Beach, and many still do, two decades on.

Miley Cyrus revisited the iconic closet set during the 20th anniversary special to give fans a behind-the-curtain look.

Hannah Montana largely made use of the home’s backyard-facing views. While the series was rarely filmed on location, the few on-site scenes typically unfolded on the porch stairs or upper deck—often outdoors, especially when Miley found herself in a more contemplative mood. (We remember the Jake or Jesse debate all too well!) For those curious to see more of the house, HBO’s Big Little Lies—filmed at the same location—offers a broader look. The series makes extensive use of the home’s interiors, showcasing the living room, bedrooms, and expansive kitchen within the same Malibu estate.

The property was listed for rent back in January, with Realtor.com sharing the news on Instagram. According to the listing on Zillow, the home features seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, a private deck overlooking the ocean, a sauna, an outdoor fireplace, and a separate guest house for added space. Alongside two primary suites, the main residence boasts 20-foot ceilings and a kitchen outfitted with three ovens. Previously available for $60,000 per month, the mansion has since returned to the market with a $20,950,000 asking price.

The Hannah Montana beach house has since been remodeled and modernized, but remains unmistakably recognizable to fans of the show.

Famous enough to warrant its own Google Maps geotag—along with a separate pin for a particular fan-favorite viewing spot—the home has since been renovated to better suit today’s market. Still, it’s hard to imagine the beloved wood-shingle, Cape Cod–style mansion ever fully escaping its pop star past. Much like the steps of Carrie Bradshaw’s brownstone at 66 Perry Streetin New York City or the iconic Victorian façade at 1709 Broderick Street in San Francisco from Full House, Miley’s Malibu home feels permanently fixed in time.

It’s just like Hannah herself once said, “You can change your style, but you’ll always find your way back home.”
