Antlers and bold prints give this coastal home a breath of fresh air.
Jeff Lincoln, a famed designer from New York City, turned the tables on this stunning West Palm Beach home. With a unique take on coastal style, he pushed this traditional blue and white color scheme into unexpected territory.
Beyond the arched ficus hedge, potted plants on the steps say, “People live here. Come in!” Lincoln says.
In the living room of a 4,500-square-foot Spanish-Mediterranean home in West Palm Beach, Florida, designerJeff Lincoln chose a dark navy wall-covering — a Phillip Jeffries hemp embellished with gold—to bring “a feeling of respite from the strong Florida sun.”
Mixing a geometric chandelier, plaster sconces, and 1940s French lamps, the tiered illumination in this living room artfully delivers utility and style in triplicate. “It’s the most formal room in an informal house,” Lincoln says of the living room. Large-scale pieces, like a mirror from David Duncan Antiques, and creamy upholstery from Dune brighten the space.
“The foyer is like a cabinet of curiosities,” he says. The table from RT Facts and the chair from Hive bring different textures to this small space.
With sofas covered in a performance fabric, this pool-adjacent loggia acts as a sunny living room or a wet bathing suit friendly cabana,depending on the moment. Designed for easy indoor/outdoor entertaining, the space retains its original terra-cotta floor tiles. The space evokes “the laid-back, loungy vibe of Ibiza,” Lincoln says. The George Smith sofas, chairs, and ottoman are upholstered in a Perennials fabric and the colorful pillows are from Roberta Roller.
From the loggia, you can catch a glimpse of the pool. The antlers above the doors are from John Salibello.
Although Lincoln went for a minimalistic color palette, he added pops of colors in places that you'd least expect them — like glassware, for example. The checkerboard tray and colorful glassware are from Mary Mahoney.
The comfortable Gloster chairs in the outdoor dining area encourage diners to linger.
Master bedrooms should be serene — and Lincoln's design fits the bill. With a beige color palette and a massive chandelier, this bedroom is practically paradise.
It’s an architectural in-joke: The designer picked garden furniture with a Moorish motif for its subtle reference to the home’s Spanish-Mediterranean style. A carpet of crushed seashells makes a hedged garden feel beachy. Outdoor sofas, chairs and ottomans are from McKinnon and Harris.
