The entire house is painted a very specific hue.

When stylist Jill Sharp Weeks sets up camp in a short-term rental, she paints, props and promptly begins living pretty in her new city.

The 1740s home sits the heart of the city's historic downtown.

A fireside table is the perfect setting for reading or a casual supper for two. The entire interior was painted in Sherwin-Williams's Pussy Willow. The contemporary portraits by Paula Rubino and Charles Weed were purchased from Ann Long Fine Art in Charleston.

In the dining room, Weeks mixes elements from different eras and cultures. The photography triptych by Rob Brinson features objects from Weeks's collection of tribal jewelry.

The black-and-white motif extends into the office. The zebra-print chairs are flea-market finds from France.

Weeks installed iron pendant lights from Currey & Company above the oversize kitchen island. The Indian wooden trunk with camel-bone inlay houses toys for Weeks's Scottish terrier, Angus.

The petite scale of the Colonial-era master bedroom required Weeks to abandon symmetry and overlap one of the windows with the king-size bed. The upholstered headboard is by Restoration Hardware, and the lamps are from Ralph Lauren Home.

The corner of the bedroom features a mirror from Mecox, a console table by B.D. Jeffries and stools from Palecek.

An upstairs room was transformed into a dressing area; the closet is hidden behind Belgian linen curtains embellished with shells.

The guest bedroom features Weeks's signature mix of neutrals; the iron bed is from Restoration Hardware, the linens are by Schoolhouse Electric and a mother-of-pearl mirror from Oly is flanked by rope pendants by Jeffrey Alan Marks for Palecek.

In the guest bedroom, Weeks uses texture to great effect: An abstract 1965 portrait in a gilt frame rests on a vintage aluminum suitcase, contrasting with tactile woven pillows from Weeks's line of home accessories, Stable.

Weeks brought in new vegetation, furniture and string lights to help the garden feel like an extension of the first floor.

A weeping willow hovers over the outdoor space.

Weeks, a creative director and stylist who has worked with such clients as Target and Four Seasons, sits in her private garden. Read more about the designer's inspiration for her home here. For more details, see resources.
