Meryl Streep isn't just an actress—she's an icon. And what better way to live like an icon than call an entire luxurious penthouse overlooking the Hudson River in New York City home? Although Streep's NYC apartment is fit for an Oscar-winner, she's finally parting ways with it. Streep sold her penthouse for $15.8 million.
The penthouse was previously listed for a cool $24.6 million in August 2018. But the Tribeca home took a price cut in August 2019 and was listed by Juliette Janssens and Allison Koffman of Sotheby’s International Realty for $18.25 million. Though Streep sold her apartment for less than its original asking price, Janssens told The Wall Street Journal that the closing price was still a strong number given the current New York market.
The 92 Laight Street apartment overlooks the Hudson River and is surrounded on three sides by a 10-foot-wide terrace. With approximately 3,944 square feet of space, it consists of 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, so she was never short on space. Seriously, though, it's straight out of a magazine. You have to see it to believe it:
