We Reimagined the 10 Best Oscars Red Carpet Looks as Designer Rooms

Each of these looks should’ve taken home an award.

Nominees embraced varied color palettes on the red carpet ranging from deep jewel tones to powdery pastels.

Our favorite looks include the night’s biggest stars Jessie Buckley and Michael B. Jordan, who won best actress and actor.

Themes we loved included feathers, whimsy, and monochrome.

The Academy Awards might be the film industry’s biggest night, but the fashion is always front and center. The Oscars’ red carpet is nearly as anticipated as the Best Picture winner, and this year the A-listers arrived in full force with era-defining, thematic styles inspired by the year’s most influential films.

To no one’s surprise, Sinners dominated at this year’s ceremony, winning four of the film’s 16 nominations. Frankenstein won for Best Production Design—just as we predicted, while Timothée Chalamet went home empty-handed as Marty Supreme lost in all nine of its nominated categories.

While Conan O’Brien was a top-notch host, and we loved Anne Hathaway’s on-stage nod to The Devil Wears Prada, we simply couldn’t pull our attention away from the ways this year’s stars channeled design through fashion, mirroring some of our favorite homes through thoughtful details. We couldn’t stop thinking about how closely some of our favorite outfits resemble our favorite interiors, so we dove into our archives to pair the best looks of the evening with equally stunning interiors.

From Demi Moore’s fabulous feathers to Michael B. Jordan’s gilded accents, we’re reimagining the Oscars’ best-dressed stars as rooms from the most celebrated interior designers.
