Ina Garten’s latest Instagram post highlights her new cookbook Simply, Ina while showcasing a striking blue color palette for spring.

A Farrow & Ball color chart featured in the post demonstrates the versatility of blue tones, from deep blue-black to soft, powdery hues.

Designers and DIYers alike are embracing shades of blue this season, reflecting a broader trend toward calm, cool interiors.

Ina Garten might not be an interior designer, but she is a seasoned arbiter of taste. The Barefoot Contessa star has spent nearly two decades on television inspiring us with simple, one-bowl, “barely cooking” meals, and now, in her latest Instagram post, she’s also inspiring us to embrace the spring’s most popular color scheme: shades of blue.

Under the post announcing her latest cookbook, Simply, Ina, which will hit shelves in October, the comments are flooded with fans, chefs, and admirers drooling over her roasted rainbow carrots and overflowing with anticipation. While we’re also excited to see the new recipes Garten has compiled for her 14th book, we just can't peel our eyes away from the cool color palette featured on slide seven of her Instagram post, nestled between shots of Ina’s kabobs and cookie-laden charcuterie.

The color chart, curated by the paint label Farrow & Ball, is a masterclass in the versatility of blues, ranging from the intense blue-black tones of Railings to the powdery hue of Perma Grey. Later, on slides eight and nine, we see Ina’s selections manifested in a Mediterranean monochrome tablescape staged in her dining room and in a windswept outdoor dining setup amid lush hedges.

Be sure, Ina isn’t the only one embracing blues this spring. We’ve seen so many designers and DIYers dipping into blue hues to channel the same themes of calm and cool simplicity.
