Beyond the amazing views of the city, the baby blues in the apartment were picked based on Gibson’s eyes. Plus, the bathroom where he hits his head and earns the ability to hear women’s thoughts would be make any city-dweller super jealous.
When Hallie and Annie make the switch and head to each other’s homes, Hallie finds herself enchanted with this stunning English townhouse. With its on-trend coral walls, grand staircase and refined dining room, it’s easy to see why this house is a London dream come true and why it belongs at number 8 on our list.
The house Kate Winslet flees to in this Nancy Meyers classic is California cool done right. With high ceilings, a killer pool, blackout shades in the bedroom, and a move theater quality media room, we’re ready to move in any time of year. Throw in a cute old Hollywood legend neighbor, and it’s a no brainer why this house lands at number 7 on our list.
Coming in at number six is the home in Father of the Bride. Steve Martin’s character, George Banks, lives in the dream home. The large white colonial with its green door and oversized front yard tree is as good as it gets. Sure, the road might be impassable come winter, but once you’re snowed in with all that British coziness including exposed wood beams, a charming kitchen, and a claw-foot tub bathroom, why would you ever want to leave?
Anne Hathaway’s character lives in a dreamy Brooklyn brownstone, melding traditional architecture with contemporary furniture and decor. Diane Keaton’s Hamptons house in this movie is nothing short of iconic. It’s chic and spacious, with an enviably large and fully-stocked kitchen, plus a stunning wrap-around porch where you could easily spend all day lounging with a good book. All that, and it’s a beach house—albeit an elegant one—meaning the sun, sand, and surf are just steps away whenever you need a little downtime.
