Attendees at the somber ceremony included most of the British royal family, including the Queen's four children (newly-minted King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward) and all her eight grandchildren (Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor, and James, Viscount Severn). Also present were several of their spouses: Queen Consort, Camilla, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle. Royal families around the world, including Spain's King Felipe and Queen Letizia and Denmark's Queen Margrethe, were in attendance, as well.
Arrangements for the Queen's funeral were approved by the late monarch long before her passing. The ceremony began with a procession from the Palace of Westminster, where the Queen has lied in state since last week, to Westminster Abbey for her funeral. Afterward, a committal service will take place in St George's Chapel in Windsor where she will be laid to rest alongside her parents, sister, and her beloved late husband, Prince Philip, in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.
