In this primary bedroom, designer Alison Giese wanted to create a very serene space with luxe hotel vibes, so she opted for a soothing palette that included this taupe shade for the walls. “We chose warm colors and a balance of masculine and feminine patterns,” she says.

“We painted everything in the same tone so it didn’t feel too busy with all the different depths and details,” says Allison Willson, the designer of this bunk room. She chose Piedmont Gray by Benjamin Moore to color drench this space that sleeps eight.

Kipling House designer Krysta Gibbons chose a foggy red for her daughter's room. The majority of the space is painted in Benjamin Moore’s Cedar Ridge, though the inside of the bed niche is coated in a deeper shade called Hickory Stick to add some softness.
Mid-tone Gray
In the primary bedroom of her house, Gibbons wrapped the room in a mid-tone blue-gray color, complete with a curtain behind the bed and painted ceilings and walls in Benjamin Moore's Adagio. The cool tone is warmed up by rust accents and layered textures.
Mahogany
In this sleeping nook, designer Lindsay Rhodes kept things serene by using the brownish-red Mahogany by Farrow & Ball. To add a playful touch, she incorporated bold cabana stripes in green and yellow.
Mauvey Beige
To create a calming and serene bedroom, designer Kristen Peña opted for a warm neutral. A versatile backdrop, this beige reads slightly pink when the sunlight hits it.

Looking to emphasize the beauty of the natural light in this California home, designer Adam Ben Wagner drenched this bedroom in a custom, buttery-yellow plaster. The rest of the room was kept neutral with cream and brown tones to create a sanctuary set away from the rest of the bustling ranch.

Instead of a headboard, Kim-Joy Hewlett chose contrasting stripes in pink and a chocolate brown to accent the bed in her guest room. The playful color palette is softened through neutral drapery and lighting.

Designer Kelly Hurliman painted the picture frame molding in this guest bedroom a deep forest green with a hint of yellow in it (Herb Garden by Benjamin Moore) as a visual transition from the white walls to the yellow wallcovering on the inside of the molding. It’s a beautiful option that adds a lot of impact.
Chartreuse
Striking a balance between the brightness of yellow and natural tones of green, a bold chartreuse is a lively bedroom color idea. Look to what the design firm French & French has done for palette inspiration. A soft blue and tonal white wallpaper softens the hue used on all millwork and the ceiling.
Peachy Pink
Slightly warmer than pinks with blue undertones, this orangey-pink is a universally flattering and calming bedroom color idea. When paired with vibrant, darker hues, the hue takes on a sophisticated air. Design firm French & French added a mural band on the ceiling crease to further highlight the hue.

We're not shocked if this bedroom paint color comes across as more blue to you than it does green, but that's because this muted hue has heavy blue undertones. In this primary bedroom, designer Minnette Jackson wanted it to feel serene, so she stuck with a color palette of watery blues and greens and chose Sea Salt by Sherwin-Williams for the walls. “Our bedroom has windows on three sides, so it feels a bit like you are perched up in your own private little treehouse,” Jackson says.

The guest room in Minnette Jackson's house actually gets the best light, so she knew she wanted a neutral palette with earthy elements to connect the room with the rest of the home. She decided to go with Pointing by Farrow & Ball for the wall color—it's a warm, soft tone that can go with basically anything.
Soft Blue
In this bunkroom, perfect for hosting the ultimate sleepovers, a calming shade of blue sets the scene, balancing the excitement of kids hanging out together. Designer Amy Knerr, founder of design firm Of Place Studio, chose a soft, refreshing shade to do this: Summer Shower by Benjamin Moore. Don’t immediately write off this moody green hue for a bedroom—even the homeowner needed some convincing at first. However, when designer Liz Carroll began painting the walls with Great Barrington Green by Benjamin Moore, her client instantly realized it was the perfect choice.
