If you read House Beautiful, you know we can’t resist a good DIY build—especially the kind our readers can transform into cozy, personal sanctuaries. Among our favorite finds: the “Solitude” shed, the Rose Cottage “granny pod,” and a supersize barn called Goliath. This week, our search for more unique tiny homes led us to a discovery Jackson Hole fans will especially appreciate: Wayfair’s “Ranchhouse” Cedar Wood Storage Shed. And if this is news to you, Wayfair has quietly built up a surprisingly charming assortment of standalone structures, including everything from basic storage sheds and storybook cottages to sleek, all-glass solariums.

Made by Cedarshed, "Ranchouse" features a 100 percent Western Red Cedar exterior and includes pre-built walls, two windows, double doors, and roof panels for easy assembly. It measures 16 feet wide and is about 10 feet high, so you don't have to duck and feel constrained when you walk into the abode. Like most tiny homes on Wayfair, this water-resistant structure includes extra features, such as a flower box, ventilation, and flooring. It also ships for free, which is a big selling point.

We're already thinking of all the ways one can spruce up this tiny ranch home once it is built. Since there's a little porch area out front, you can add a small bistro table (we like this one from Amazon) to create some seating. It would be a nice spot to read, sip your morning coffee, or hang out with your neighbor over a glass of wine. Once inside, you have about 1,216.75 cubic feet of space to work with. If you want to turn this into an extension of a living room, you can certainly add a sofa, some accent chairs, and a coffee table. This shed could become a painter's studio for the creatives, while for the fitness gurus, this tiny home could be your own quiet workout space.

As ADUs become more popular (they can boost your home's value!), we can't imagine a better place to start than with a ranch-style build. Of course, this look might not suit everyone's design eye, and we totally get that. If you're still on the hunt for more special spaces, check out the other cool tiny structures we found below.
