Everything Our Editors Are Panic-Buying on the Last Day of Amazon’s Big Sale

Our favorite finds start at a mere $8!

By

Today is the last day of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, and no one is more devastated by this than the House Beautiful editors, who have been adding and buying our carts pretty much every day since the epic sale kicked off. Not only is today the final day, but it’s also Amazon’s last big sale until Prime Day in July, so you better believe we’re loading up today to get us through.

Ahead, you’ll find nearly 20 products that we bought (or are planning to buy) today. Some of the goodies in our carts are things we need (like vacuums and humidifiers), and the rest are definitely not considered essential, but there’s no better excuse to buy something you want than a big sale. So, if you’re in the market to spruce up your space, go ahead and shop our favorite products on Amazon—all of which are deeply discounted for the remainder of the day.

"My apartment is extremely dry—to the point that both my cat and I are wheezing when we wake up in the morning and go to bed at night. My colleague, Janae, loves her Bedside Canopy Humidifier, so I figured I should try it too! I quite literally have this Large Room Canopy Humidifier on the way to my apartment now, and hopefully soon, we'll both find some relief.”

“My current Dyson runs for a few minutes and then dies despite us buying a new battery for it, so it was time to finally replace it. I recently got this one, which is now on sale, because it’s specifically designed for pet-friendly homes, and I have a dog who sheds a lot. This Dyson is WAY quieter than my old one, and the little green light shows me all the dust and dander on my, what I thought was a super clean, floor, which both fascinates and horrifies me. I was actually late to work today because I got sucked into watching the Dyson clean up all the dog hairs on my floor.”

“Affordable, well-appointed, and adored, Mellanni's sheets almost sound too good to be true. I've been sleeping on these sheets for almost a year and can confidently say they're worth the hype. Ahead, I break down everything you need to know about the sheets before you purchase them yourself.”

The Loftie is full of calming sounds and tones that make my Gemini heart very happy. I can switch up with ease when one tone stops working for me, no app needed. My favorite feature, though, is definitely the bed signal. At a time of your choosing, the Loftie will play a soft tune for about three minutes and light up, signaling that it’s time to wind down and go to bed. Of all the features I tested, this was the most effective. Hearing it snaps me out of an endless TikTok scroll and genuinely helps my brain move to a calmer place.”

"I can never have enough throw blankets. In fact, my entire media console is filled with various throws for different seasons. I know we are headed out of winter, but I can't help but overtly covet this faux fur blanket. It just looks so luxurious and soft that I feel like I need it in my apartment. Luckily, no animals were harmed or used in the process of crafting this cozy blanket."

"This is an amazing price on a high-quality wet dry vac. I use mine weekly to make sure my floors and carpets are sparkling clean (even with a cat!). I love that it is rechargeable and cord-free!"

"Maybe it's the end of the darkness of winter, but there's something about spring that really makes me want to add more color and fun to my space. I've been eyeing this pineapple throw pillow for weeks now, because it looks bright and cute and would add just the right amount of whimsy to my room, but also looks really cuddle-worthy, for when I'm lounging around."

“I bought the Larq pitcher on Prime Day last summer, and to this day, it is the best purchase I’ve made. It filters tap water using a carbon-based filter and UV-C LED technology, making the water truly crystal-clear. I couldn’t help myself when I saw this set of water bottles that do the same thing, but on the go.”

"I like to stock up on random basics during Amazon sales, and there is one thing I have yet to buy but really need: a yoga mat cleaner. I tried the Manduka spray a few months ago (my yoga mat is also from this brand, so I thought it would be good), but the nozzle was horrible, so now I'm open to any brand as long as it has good reviews. This one got good ratings since it's made from essential oils/natural ingredients and comes with a cloth to wipe down your mat! I'm very game to try it, so I can stop cleaning my mat with just a wet paper towel."

"Kate Spade New York's home line on Amazon is one of my favorite brands on there. All the pieces are so joyful, including these lemon-shaped pot holders. I lost a mitten to one of my sets so I think it's finally time to get another pair, and this one makes me smile."

"There's an empty corner on my deck that I need to fill, and I've been thinking about putting an outdoor planter stand there. I'm imagining a bunch of pots with herbs growing, from Thai basil to mint to even scallions. Last summer, we grew cherry tomatoes and basil together in a garden box, not realizing how much room a tomato plant needed, which totally stunted our basil's growth. This time around, though, we know: grow the herb separately. This stand is wide enough to be filled with pots, so there's no overcrowding, and since this stand lives outside, I feel good about not spending too much money on something overly precious because it will be exposed to sun, rain, and eventually snow."

“I love these book lights so much, I buy them in multiples. They come in numerous colors, and I have home and away options. As an avid reader and needlepointer, I never like to be further than arm’s length from one. However, I recently found a new at-home use for them: I clip one to the rod inside of my closet for more focused lighting as I decide on my outfits for the day, so I don't have to get dressed in the dark or turn on the dreaded overhead light at six in the morning. You can toggle between the “warm” and “cool” lighting settings, depending on what you need, and increase the brightness by three levels. These usually last several weeks on a single charge, which is really convenient.”

“TikTok convinced me that organizing my dresser drawers needed to be on my spring cleaning list—and wow, am I glad I finally took the time and effort. These adjustable dividers saved so much space in the drawers that hold my workout clothes, bras and undies, tank tops, tees, and other smaller items that tend to get tangled.”

“These sparkly gel pens bring me back to 2004 in the best way possible. I loved these as a kid when I’d doodle in my composition notebook, and I love them now as I cross items off my to-do lists at work. They’re so fun to write with (just be sure to let the ink dry before touching it because these are smudge machines if you’re not careful) and so pretty once they dry.”

“I try to avoid paper towels for two reasons: They don’t absorb liquid as well as they could, and they’re wasteful. Microfiber cloths are the best because they are extremely absorbent and machine-washable. I have a stack of these under my kitchen sink, and I’m constantly reaching for them. Sadly, my white ones have started to turn gray after years of use, so I’m finally tossing them and opting for a new set.”

“I adore listening to music, new and classic, on vinyl. There's just something really charming about setting up a record and placing the needle, but no one tells you when you start collecting just how much work keeping records can be. I haven't invested in a proper cleaning kit yet, but today is the day! I am excited to finally give my records the pampering they deserve so I can keep spinning them for years and years to come!”

“I love my quirky oven mitts, but sadly they've seen better days. They're starting to tear right where sensitive skin is exposed, so it's time to get a new set. I love Kate Spade's affordable home finds on Amazon, and these adorable mitts are perfect to brighten up my kitchen. The vibrant orange pattern is hard to resist, and I'd actually love to hang them up on display.”

“My rechargeable lighter has shockingly become one of my most-used possessions—so much so that I’m constantly shuttling it back and forth between my bedroom and living room to burn different candles. I’ve decided it’s worth investing in another so that I have a dedicated lighter handy in each space. This Amazon find already comes in a set of two for less than the price of my original one, and it’s on sale for under $10. Just what my mild candle obsession needs!”
