Bubble lighting offers a versatile and visually appealing way to illuminate a room and happens tolook just as good switched off as it does when turned on.
Otherwise known as ball lights or globe lights, bubble lights are large, round light fixtures, sometimes in clusters or just a single pendant, and often made from glass to add a striking elegance to your living space. The name is not to be confused with George Nelson's iconic Bubble Lamp series; a mid-century classic (circa 1947) with plastic coating stretched over a steel wire frame. Though we'd very much expect the spherical silhouettes to inspire the contemporary, playful bubble lights on the market today.

Embracing the art of both bold and subtle is this charcoal grey bubble lamp from Houseof. The metal stem design and suspending milky-white opal shades create a striking contrast – and we can't get enough.
