Peach Fuzz, a soft peach hue, is the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2024.
Sensitive but sweet and airy, Peach Fuzz is described as 'quietly sophisticated' with gentle depth and a 'contemporary ambience' that evokes a new modernity.
A shade between pink and orange, this clean peach tone with a vintage vibe brings belonging, inspires recalibration, and presents an opportunity for nurturing, enriching mind, body, and soul. It's warm and cosy, highlighting our desire for togetherness and the feeling of sanctuary this creates.
It's a colour that creates a welcoming and comforting ambience in the home, whether appearing on a wall, home decor, or as an accent within a pattern.
'Drawing comfort from Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, we can find peace from within, impacting our wellbeing. An idea as much as a feeling, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz awakens our senses to the comforting presence of tactility and cocooned warmth,' says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director at the Pantone Colour Institute.
Pantone provides the universal language of colour and the announcement of Peach Fuzz marks the 25th anniversary of the Pantone Color of the Year, which was first introduced in 1999 to capture the global zeitgeist, and has gone on to become a globally iconic cultural touchstone.
Pantone has partnered with several brands for the 2024 COTY, including Motorola, Shades By Shan, Ultrafabrics, Spoonflower and Ruggable, the latter of which is a limited-edition capsule collection of three indoor rugs, one doormat and one bath mat, all of which you can shop below.
