Illustrations from ornithologist J.J. Audubon's world-famous Birds of America book has been brought to life in wallpaper form.
Murals Wallpaper has transformed six of these illustrations into bespoke, larger-than-life wall murals.
Birds of America, the world's most expensive book, is a compilation of 35 hand-coloured, life-sized engravings of America's birds. These immensely intricate works of art took almost a lifetime to complete. In 2010, a copy of the printed book sold for £7.3 million at a Sotheby's auction in London. Released in the 1830s, the book is a significant masterpiece and it is very much a collector's item – there are only 119 complete copies of the book in existence.
