5 Gold medals have been awarded across the garden categories this year.
The winners of the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival (previously Flower Show) 2019 has been announced. There are 24 gardens at the show this year, of which 18 were judged, and only a handful – 5 to be precise – have been awarded a coveted Gold medal.
There are 4 Silver-Gilt winners, 6 Silvers and 2 Bronze, plus a Show Garden which received no award.

Smart Meter Garden.

The Smart Meter Garden is an immersive metaphor for our future environment and explores the relationship between carbon emissions and our natural world. The centre symbolises the burning of unnecessary energy and its effect on our planet, while the perimeter, with its lush planting, represents the future we could have.
Thames Water Flourishing Future Garden.
Designed by Tony Woods.
Awarded: Gold.
This garden aims to show visitors how they can encourage biodiversity, reduce water use and prevent flooding in homes and community spaces.
The Viking Cruises Lagom Garden.
Designed by Will Williams.
Awarded: Gold.
This garden is a space in which to relax, entertain and have all the comforts of a contemporary garden while keeping nature in mind. The inspiration comes from the idea of 'lagom', which means not too much, not too little, but perfectly balanced.
The Cancer Research UK Pledge Pathway to Progress.

Awarded: Gold and Best Construction (Show Garden).
This garden is an immersive walk-through space, representing the important role of Gifts in Wills in funding Cancer Research UK’s progress towards a day when all cancers are cured.
Calm Amidst Chaos.

Calm Amidst Chaos draws awareness to the importance of creating peace and tranquillity amid the potentially overwhelming modern world, promoting the message that, creating an inner sense of peace is a powerful way to manage our daily lives better.

Through Your Eyes aims to provide a unique immersive experience. The garden is overlooked by a large sculptural head that can be entered, allowing each person a moment alone to contemplate the garden and its message.
Year of Green Action Garden.

This sensory-rich family garden demonstrates how sensory garden design can help children of all abilities connect with nature for their mental and physical wellbeing, a key ambition in the 25 Year Environment Plan.
The Dream of The Indianos.

This garden is based on the lives of the Indianos, emigrants from North Spain at the end of the 19th century.
APL A Place to Meet.

A Place to Meet reveals how small spaces can be modern and functional, while beneficial to nature, providing areas to sit, relax and enjoy entertaining on balmy summer evenings.

On the Brink draws attention to plastic blindness, representing an ocean on the brink of manmade ecological disaster. Among a sea of plastic debris, clusters of new growth emerge suggesting the possibility of redemption.

This garden represents three gardens belonging to three different neighbours, each with its own character and features to attract wildlife, ultimately showing how neighbours can work towards a common cause through gardening and benefit the wider world.
Beth Chatto: Drought Tolerant Garden
Designed by David Ward
This garden is a recreation of Beth's world-famous, drought-tolerant garden, which features a range of plants adapted to cope with prolonged dry spells.
Legendary plantswoman Beth Chatto passed away last year. She has been named as the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 2019 Horticultural Hero.
