These sun-loving varieties will fill your garden with interest even during a heatwave

Don't let July's soaring temperatures spoil your summer garden displays. There might be another heatwave on our doorstep, but some colourful bedding plants thrive in hot, sunny weather, keeping borders and containers looking their best for longer.
From sun-seeking zinnias to classic verbenas, these easy-to-grow bedding plants often have deep or extensive root systems which can access moisture deeper in the soil, and are naturally adapted to sunny climates.

'If you're worried about keeping your garden looking its best through periods of hot weather, choosing the right plants can make a huge difference.'
