Looking for a solution to get rid of smears on glass? On the popular Facebook page, Mrs Hinch's Cleaning Tips, one woman has shared a clever trick for getting rid of streaks on the glass door of her microwave using nothing but a cold tea bag and water.
Sharing before and after pictures, Tuesday Veal said: 'I used one Yorkshire tea bag in a mug of boiling water and then left it to cool down. Then, I dipped a corner of kitchen roll into the tea and wiped it over the microwave.
'It looked a bit streaky to begin with but it dried streak free! I've used tea to clean my mirrors, glass table and stainless steel hob,' she explained.
The post garnered much interest with members of the social media cleaning community. One user commented: 'I did this yesterday and was amazed it really does work,' while another said: 'Cold tea is awesome! I've done all my windows and also my toaster, too.'
This genius way to clean has been hailed as a lifesaving tip for many who struggle to remove smears from glass and other similar household items.
