Le Creuset has been producing popular cast-iron cookware in a range of gorgeous colours since 1925.
Their pots, pans and stoneware are kitchen must-haves, but there's one issue – a lot of people have trouble pronouncing the brand name correctly.
Is it 'lee-croo-SET' or 'luh-croo-SAY'? Many Le Creuset fans have taken to Twitter to voice their confusion over saying the brand name...
North Carolina chef Vivian Howard recently revealed that she had the same pronunciation problem. She even posted a video on YouTube about the issue, saying the French word was even more difficult for her with her Southern American accent.
The chef admitted that 'for the longest time, I had such a crush on them, but I could never verbalise it because I didn't know how to say it'.
Vivian went on to reveal the correct way of pronouncing Le Creuset, halfway through the short video. It turns out that you should actually say 'luh-CROO-zay', with the emphasis on the middle syllable, not the last. It should also be a 'z' sound as opposed to an 's'.
