Broadcaster and gardening guru Alan Titchmarsh has put his beloved Grade II-listed Hampshire home on the market — and yes, his breathtaking landscaped garden is included.

Manor Farm House, in the picturesque village of Holybourne, has been Alan's countryside retreat for 23 years — and unsurprisingly, the grounds are a horticultural showcase.

The exterior alone is picture-perfect. Approached via electric gates and a sweeping gravel driveway, it’s every bit the quintessential English country home. After buying the property in 2002, Alan and his wife Alison lovingly renovated and restored the former manor house, while also extending and transforming the gardens into a horticultural haven.

The five-bedroom Georgian property dates back to the late 17th century and blends period character with modern family living, with oak beams, sash windows, underfloor heating, and a vaulted 16th-century wine cellar.

Highlights include the light-filled drawing room and the spacious kitchen/dining room with an Aga, butler’s sink, and larder. The principal bedroom, with a working fireplace and ensuite bathroom, offers views over the all-organic gardens.

To the rear of the house is a large detached outbuilding with a 42ft party barn/theatre space, library and office. Adjoining this is a potting shed with a kitchenette, a gardener's WC and shower, and a three-bay garage.

But it’s the gardens that truly steal the show. Over the years, Alan has meticulously shaped the grounds — and they’ve even had starring roles on TV, including his ITV series Grow Your Own at Home.

Set across nearly four acres, the gardens boast manicured lawns, striking topiary, York stone terraces, ornamental fountains, and a charming summer house — every inch reflecting Alan’s unmistakable green-fingered touch.

Beyond the formal planting lies two acres of wildflower meadows created by Alan himself – and there's even a swing seat nestled among the plants. A kitchen garden with greenhouses and raised beds, plus a pond with a jetty, completes the picture-perfect setting.

So why is Alan upping sticks? The presenter and his wife are downsizing to another village home nearby to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren – and it’s safe to say Alan will soon be crafting another garden masterpiece.

Alan's country home is on the market for £3.95 million via Savills.
