Oscar award-winning actress Anne Hathaway and her husband, producer and jewellery designer Adam Shulman, are selling their luxe New York City penthouse for $3.495 million. According to The Wall Street Journal, the power couple, who welcomed their second son, Jack, at the end of 2019, purchased the property for $2.55 million in 2016.
The minimalist two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence is located in a historic Neo-Georgian mansion on the Upper West Side near Central Park. With the help of Gramercy Design, which is known for working with high-profile clients in the entertainment business, Hathaway and Shulman thoughtfully renovated the penthouse. The result? Original details and period mouldings blend seamlessly with modern updates, ranging from durable white oak flooring to a state-of-the art kitchen boasting an 18-foot ceiling.

The penthouse is accessible via a private key-locked elevator, and the dining, living, and kitchen areas feature an open layout.
The airy living room, featuring an ethanol fireplace, leads to the spacious terrace. In addition to white oak flooring with a herringbone pattern, new windows — in-swing French casements — were installed.
The couple completely revamped the south-facing terrace. It includes integrated lighting, audio, and irrigation.
The outdoor area is fit for entertaining, with its views of New York City landmarks and a dining space for up to eight people. Luxury apartment buildings, including The Dakota and The San Remo, are visible from the terrace.
The penthouse is located in a historic Neo-Georgian-style mansion. It's listed with Sotheby’s International Realty.
