Step inside the surreal new Big Brother 2025 house — eyeballs included

Think the Big Brother house couldn’t get any more eccentric? Think again. TV’s most famous home is bold, fantastical and unapologetically over-the-top — part retro-futuristic fantasy, part life-sized candy shop.

Tonight (Sunday 28th September), hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best will welcome an eclectic mix of strangers from across the UK, all set to call this technicolour house their home.

One thing’s certain: there’s no such thing as calm in the Big Brother house, and no rules when it comes to decorating either (remember Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year when it was dripping in gold?).

'The nation’s most renowned residence, the Big Brother house, will yet again play host to all the mischief and mayhem and has undergone a makeover that’s easy on the eye,' says an ITV spokesperson.

For the third civilian series of the show on ITV, the design combines maximalism (colours and patterns galore) with surrealism (exaggerated proportions heighten the playful, theatrical vibe) to create a look that’s deliberately bold and unmissable.

Expect saturated, clashing brights, graphic patterns, and a juxtaposition of soft curves and sharp lines. In case the housemates needed reminding that Big Brother is always watching, eyeball ornaments have been dotted across every room – there’s even an eye-shaped dining table. The shelves are also artfully styled, with vases and plants sharing space with — yes — even more eyeball ornaments.

Furniture takes on circular and bubble-like forms, adding to the surreal atmosphere. Standout details include a hand-shaped chair in the living space, a hypnotic checkerboard rug in the bedroom, and in the corridor, sculptural wall sconces of hands clutching glowing eyeball lights. Quirky? Yes. Somewhat eerie? Absolutely.

In the bedroom you'll find slightly muted shades of aqua, teal, and pink alongside glowing underlit beds, while the bathroom is drenched in yellow, green and orange, finished with bold, retro-style mirrors.

The kitchen leans retro too, with a chunky, curved island that has an almost inflatable look, while outside the garden is just as colourful, featuring an XL blue sofa on the decking and playful topiary ornaments styled throughout.

The Big Brother 2025 house is filmed at Titan Studios in west London, a former distribution centre that was transformed into a TV production hub. Before that, during its ITV revival in 2023, the house was located at Garden Studios in north-west London. In its Channel 4 heyday, Big Brother was famously filmed at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
