Cosy season has officially entered the kitchen. Aldi has brought back its much-loved pumpkin casserole dishes, and they are set to be one of the supermarket's most sought-after Specialbuys of the season.
Pumpkin-shaped homeware has become something of an autumn interiors staple in recent years, thanks in no small part to Le Creuset's charming cast-iron version. Since the French heritage brand gave practical cookware the Cinderella treatment, fans of whimsical homeware have been filling their shelves with pumpkin-inspired pieces.
But while Le Creuset's casserole is undeniably covetable, its £50 price tag may feel steep for a dish that only really comes into play for a few months of the year. Thankfully, Aldi has cooked up a budget-friendly alternative.
Shoppers can now pick up the supermarket's similar-looking pumpkin dish for a fraction of the price. Returning by popular demand, the ceramic casserole dish will be available in three autumn-ready colourways: classic orange, understated beige or contemporary sage.
There are two sizes to choose from, priced at £12.99 and £8.99, making it an accessible way to add a seasonal flourish to the kitchen without overspending.

Another new-season highlight is the mini waffle maker, for £7.99, available in black, white or pumpkin orange. Compact, affordable and suitably playful, it is another easy way to bring a little autumn charm into the kitchen.
As with all Aldi Specialbuys, availability is limited, so those hoping to get their hands on the pumpkin casserole dish will need to act quickly. Given the popularity of Le Creuset's original, this affordable alternative is unlikely to stay on shelves for long.
