One highlight is the return of Ikea's much-loved classics. 'We are bringing back some of our favourite furniture pieces created by influential designers like Karin Mobring and Gillis Lundgren. Fit for the future in updated materials and improved constructions, this latest edition of the Nytillverkad collection lets you explore the relaxed and playful sixties and early seventies,' says the Swedish retailer.

Call this Ikea's retro collection. Revisit bold patterns, optimistic shapes and unconventional solutions with the third edition of Nytillverkad, in celebration of Ikea's 80th anniversary.
'At the end of the 1960s, change was in the air. Youth culture, pop music and protests made their mark on the world and the Ikea range. New materials such as painted particleboard and plastic made it possible to create furniture with a youthful expression, far from the heavy woods of the 1950s,' says Ikea.
The collection includes the relaunch of its famous 'anti-stress' armchair from 1967, as well as the popular Epok rug from 1958.
