Hetta is a sustainably minded furniture brand that has that kind of All-American look that was most popular in the early 1930s and 1940s. There’s a lot of simple, non-precious shapes, reliable materials (think lots of wood), and very fair prices.

Sixpenny
Sixpenny prioritizes comfort above all else, and that is abundantly clear after spending just a few minutes on the site. The sofa cushions are filled with down feathers, the fabrics passed multiple rub tests to ensure softness, and the surfaces are all the ideal smooth as possible. In terms of aesthetic, Sixpenny shines brightest in minimal, simple spaces that aren’t overly ornate in any way, shape, or form. The only often difficult thing about ordering furniture—whether online or in person—is the lead times. The pandemic may be over, but the shipping delays are very much still a thing of the present. Luckily, however, TOV sells on Amazon, so if you see something you like, including this bouclé swivel chair, do yourself a favor and order it. You'll have it on your doorstep in as little as one week.

Perigold
We have waxed poetic about Perigold more than once, but it's worth the rave. If you aren't familiar with the luxurious online-only brand, allow us to introduce you: It's owned by Wayfair, but you won't find much overlap in terms of product between the two sites. Here's why: Perigold was launched to bring trade-only brands to those without design degrees or firms. In other words, anyone can go online and order designer-approved goods they see on Perigold's site.

Birch Lane
Birch Lane, a very cottagecore-friendly furniture outpost that sells its wares online, is also owned by Wayfair. As far as price point goes, we'd say it's between Wayfair and Perigold because it's not exactly cheap, but it's also not the most luxurious option on our list. This armchair, for instance, is $1,149 and includes free white glove delivery. There are plenty of cheaper options, though. Just be sure to check out the sale page.
Chairish
Chairish and 1stDibs may be synonymous to anyone with an affinity for genuine vintage and antique pieces, there is one major difference: price point. 1stDibs is all about the rarest pieces in the world, so you’ll find unique works attached to almost unbelievable price tags. Chairish, however, offers a more approachable mix of items if you’re working with a smaller budget. You’ll find plenty of beautiful older pieces, but you won’t gasp at the price.

Quince
In our experience, whenever we tell people that Quince, an online-only brand famous for its affordable cashmere, sells furniture, the common response has been, "Wait, what?" While some Quince fans know that the brand does sell bedding (read our full review of Quince bedding), few realize it also sells full-blown furniture. You may not be able to outfit your whole home in Quince furniture, but you can definitely grab one or two things, including a beautiful bed frame.

GreenRow
GreenRow may not be as big a name as some others on this list, but give it some time because it's worth knowing. The online-only retailer is all about sustainable design, manufacturing, and shipping, which is why everything is made in the U.S.A. As far as aesthetics go, it's a bit kitschy, but we mean that in the best way. Think lots of bright colors, fun patterns, and ornately carved wood.

"Article makes Scandinavian-inspired furniture that will blend in nicely with most decor styles. The pieces are affordable, yet stylish and high-quality, so you're getting a lot of value," Deputy Editor Heath Owens says. "My Article coffee table has held up for years and looks like it would cost double the actual price." If you're wondering what Scandinavian design is, allow us to explain: It was a design influence that emerged during the now-iconic midcentury modern era—though, as its name implies, it came specifically out of Scandinavia. Aesthetically speaking, this type of furniture is simple and devoid of unnecessary detail.

Lindye Galloway Studio is a full-service design firm based in California, and when the namesake designer launched her own shopping outpost, dubbed Le Maé, in September 2024, she infused each of the pieces with her classic California-cool vibe. Almost everything features natural wood and plenty of earthy tones.

AllModern
As its name implies, AllModern's furniture collection boasts an undeniable midcentury feel. That said, because it's designed in today's era, it's built to last using durable materials. Plenty of the pieces are more contemporary iterations of pieces you'd recognize from the Bauhaus movement. Associate Shopping Editor Janae McKenzie says, "My green velvet sofa is the crown jewel of my living room and was such a find on AllModern. Their durable furniture has such a sleek silhouette and is vibrant, spacious, and comfortable, not to mention easy to move and assemble."

Frontgate
Frontgate is one of our favorite places to shop, and not just because we collaborated with the designers on a charming capsule collection. Mostly everything is made by the in-house designers for whom no detail is too small to ignore. Frontgate is most famous for its collection of durable outdoor furniture, but the indoor-only pieces, such as the Old World-inspired Angelina accent stool, are just as good.

Saatva
Saatva is more famous for its luxurious mattresses than it is for furniture, so consider this our call to shop the latter category. All of the pieces are bedroom-specific, so if you're in need of a new bed, bench, or nightstand, Saatva is the place to go. Everything is made to order without chemicals and toxic materials, making it a sustainable brand we're obsessed with. One of the brand's biggest fans is reviewer Katelyn Lunders, who loves her Rx mattress.

You probably already know you can find furniture (and tons of it) on the site, but did you know that Amazon has its own furniture lines, Rivet and Stone & Beam? Whether your style's more industrial, midcentury modern, or full-on Joanna Gaines-inspired, Amazon has you covered. Senior Commerce Manager Mackenzie Dunn adds, "I bought a coffee table from Amazon that I am in love with. It looks sort of vintage and high-end but it was surprisingly affordable. You'd never know it was an Amazon find. Sometimes, you have to dig on there to find the right thing."

You can find virtually anything at Wayfair, from bed frames to composters, and for can't-beat prices either. "I love Wayfair because they have so much stuff, so if I wanted to, I could decorate my entire apartment—from the bed frame to the dishes—with Wayfair. I also love it because there's such a massive range of quality and price," Associate Shopping Editor Jessica Cherner says. "What makes this company so amazing, though, is the customer service. Nothing triggers my anger like talking to someone in customer service who is just reading from a script and not trying to help, and Wayfair is the opposite of that. I have never waited on hold for more than three minutes, and whoever I end up talking to always genuinely seems to want to help."

"I, like many others, redecorated my apartment during the pandemic. My first buy was a pale pink pedestal dining table. Almost four years later, I have no regrets about my semi-impulse purchase," Cherner says.
