A crisp and modern monochrome palette had to take centre stage in my edit this week, as it's my current go-to combo. Although this pairing is old-hat among seasoned designers, it can also feel incredibly fresh – effortlessly cool, clean, and above all else, timeless. Whether styled boldly or with softer contrasts, black and white is a seasonless staple that brings instant polish to a room scheme.
My love of monochrome stems from an experience early in my career. It was one of the very first shoots I went on, and the location we used was a gorgeous monochrome house. The homeowner had built in slick black shelving, with stacks of art and fashion hardbacks on display – I still remember admiring the Tom Ford book you'll find in my edit below. I've been in love with glossy coffee table books ever since.
