Summer may still be in full swing, but it’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas. The first festive collections for 2026 are beginning to arrive, with Habitat among the first homeware brands to offer a glimpse of its affordable new range.
While last year's collection leaned into Scandi decorations and bold maximalism, this season the focus is firmly on nostalgia and personal style – without losing the affordable price point.
'This Christmas at Habitat, our collection is all about creating a home that feels collected, comforting and full of personality,' says Abi Wilson, the brand's head of buying for seasonal products and gifts.
'Retro-inspired decorations are making a comeback, as customers embrace nostalgic traditions with a modern twist.'
That means plenty of paper decorations, including stars (£5), baubles (£6), honeycomb trees (£5), keepsake ornaments and new takes on paper chains; the nostalgic Christmas decoration the world couldn't seem to get enough of last year. Our pick? The bauble garland (£15), which offers a playful update on the trend.
But paper chains aren't the only festive favourite making a return. 'Bows and glass baubles also remain defining trends for the season, reimagined through oversized scales, rich textures and playful silhouettes that bring impact throughout the home,' says Abi.
