Cuprinol Shed of the Year 2019 finalists revealed: photos

The finalists for the Cuprinol Shed of the Year 2019 has been announced. 21 works of art have made the cut in the shortlist to be crowned this year's winner, which will be decided by a public vote.

The judges have whittled down the entries from hundreds to just three finalists per category, who will go head-to-shed in a bid to win the coveted title. Among the finalists is a space station shed, a live-in shed/lorry, a beach bar shack and a Shakespeare themed boat-come-shed.

Nature’s Haven is a new category this year inspired by an un-landscaped outdoors and the trend for garden maintenance that allows nature to thrive. Other categories include: Unexpected, Cabin/Summerhouse, Workshop and Studio, Pub and Entertainment, Budget and Unique.

Last year’s winner, George Smallwood, of Sheffield, harnessed self-watering technology in his Bee Eco Shed, which allowed vegetable and herb gardens to grow and insects and bees to thrive.
