A homeowner has completely transformed her tiny garden into a relaxing and stylish chill-out area for less than £300.
Tara Ward, who lives in a flat in West Green, London, spent lockdown tackling her overgrown garden. And, after lots of TLC and a few bargain buys, she created a modern space to unwind.
Posting on Instagram, her impressive before-and-after photos revealed how she removed the faded grass for practical paving, painted her fence a soft grey hue and opted for accessories such as an outdoor rug, egg chair, outdoor cushions, fairy lights, and a trend-led DIY bar.
While Tara said she enjoyed having the grass, she explained it was quite impractical: 'I quite liked having the grass with living in a flat but it's a really tiny area so it got really overgrown as I didn't have anywhere to keep a lawnmower – that's what made me want to get it paved over,' Tara told The Metro.
'Everything I bought was from different places but my go-to place for home interior is The Range – everything is so well priced, and you can find so many nice bits.
'I bought my flat two years ago and am really into home interior, so I like to document all of the changes I make. I love having a little outdoor space that I can go when the weather is nice and it's rare to have that when you own a flat. Family and friends are just amazed by it – I've had so many messages from people asking if I can go and design their gardens!'
