David Austin Roses has launched a special rose to honour Sir David Beckham.

Debuting at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026, the Sir David Beckham Rose (Ausa34b16) has been 10 years in the making and is inspired by a sweet gesture from his daughter, Harper, on his 5oth birthday.

The English shrub rose, available to pre-order now, has white blooms with hints of soft blush and golden yellow, and a complex honeyed fragrance — a sweet nod to his interest in beekeeping.

'Introducing Sir David Beckham (Ausa34b16), a new English Rose of rare beauty, named in honour of one of Britain's most admired figures,' reads an Instagram post shared by David Austin Roses. 'This rose is a living symbol of enduring love, strength and beauty. It is an irresistible invitation to bees and admirers alike.'

From every rose sale, a donation of £2.50 will be made to The King's Foundation — a cause close to David's heart, where he is also an ambassador.

The former footballer joined King Charles at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show earlier this year to celebrate The King's Rose. David was photographed alongside His Majesty wearing the unique striped rose on his suit jacket.

Dividing his time between the Cotswolds and London, David has swapped the pitch for planting, regularly sharing gardening updates on Instagram. Over the past year, he has planted a Queen of Sweden rose bush along a boundary fence to zone his garden, filled raised beds with green veggies, and added three new chickens to the family.

In 2020, David also began building his own beehives and has gifted a jar of home-harvested honey to King Charles. They were even seen 'swapping beekeeping tips' at the King's Highgrove Estate in June last year to discuss the work of the King's Foundation.
