Dame Helen Mirren has revealed the unlikely item she's been loving during lockdown: the popular cord-free Dyson V8 Animal vacuum cleaner.
On Instagram, the multi award-winning actress, 74, shared two photographs of the simple things that have brought her joy during quarantine. The first image was of a bird feeder hanging from a tree in her garden, along with the caption: 'One of my favourite things in quarantine was... 1. the bird feeder.'
The second was an image of her slimline Dyson standing against a wall in her home. Following on from her first post, the caption simply read: '2. the Dyson rechargeable vacuum,' giving it her stamp of approval.
The Dyson V8 Animal vacuum cleaner might be an expensive purchase, coming in at around £349, but it has garnered all-round rave reviews from many cleaning fans.
Many of Helen's followers commented, saying how much they also love the cult vacuum cleaner thanks to its powerful suction and ability to reach tricky spots in the home. One said: 'Life saver!' while another added, 'We use ours several times per day (lots of pet hair!!!) Honestly, one of our best purchases ever.'
