Short on garden space? The top 15 towns and cities with the biggest average garden size in the UK have been revealed — and Poole in Dorset has scooped first spot.
To help Brits make their money go further, ConservatoryLand has analysed the places which offer the highest average square metre of garden space, taking into account three different postcodes within the area.
While Poole came first with an average garden size of 490 square metre, other winners include Dundee (249), Cambridge (235) and the glorious coastal city of Swansea (203). Gardens regularly top the list of must-haves for buyers, but this study shows that not everywhere will provide you with a sprawling outdoor space.
Elsewhere, they also highlighted the average house prices to see whether paying more for a property will give you a larger garden. Dundee ranks as the best value for money alongside garden size offering, while those buying in Cambridge look at paying £433,929 for 235 square metres.

On the other hand however, it's no surprise to see Brighton and London at the bottom of the list, with garden sizes averaging at just 23 and 35 square metres, respectively.
'For many UK residents, the need for garden space is high on a list of must-haves for a new home,' ConservatoryLand explain. 'Whether it's to entertain guests, grow a dream flower garden or provide space for outdoor exercise, it proves to be important in a variety of ways.'
