Eagerly awaiting the next James Bond to be announced? Fans of 007 can now own a piece of cinematic history, as the former London home of Sir Roger Moore is for sale.
Set in the illustrious Eaton Square, the actor lived here in the late 1960s, just before his debut as the famous secret agent in 1973 (Live and Let Die). While it's not known how long he owned the property for, it was famously used as a 'bachelor's pad' before he moved to Switzerland in the 1970s.
According to Country & Town House, the Bond star hid his affair with Italian actress Luisa Mattioli at the property. When his then-wife, Welsh singer Dorothy Squires, discovered the relationship, she reportedly threw a brick through the living room window.
Drama aside, the three-bedroom apartment is arranged over the third and fourth floors of the white stucco fronted apartment building. With bright, calming interiors, you'll find a well-sized kitchen, guest WC, and a spacious reception room with views over the communal gardens of Eaton Square.
Elsewhere, there are two separate bedroom suites and a third double bedroom, complete with a shower room next door. Each space has a neutral scheme, leaving ample decorating opportunities for new buyers.
Roger's impressive property portfolio spanned Monaco, Switzerland, London, the English countryside, and more. His famous Gloucestershire home went on the market in November 2023, while a 300-year-old converted windmill in Norfolk , also owned by the Bond star, was available to rent in 2021.
Eaton Square is certainly favoured by Bond actors, as Sir Sean Connery also famously owned a property in the area.
This property is currently on the market for £5,750,000 with Knight Frank.
