YPPERLIG is the new collection from Ikea and Hay. It's described as a 'contemporary yet ageless collection' featuring larger pieces such as sofas and coffee tables to smaller accessories like a twist on the iconic carrier bag.
Hay, founded by husband and wife duo Mette and Rolf Hay, focuses on creating furniture with an eye for modern living using sophisticated industrial manufacturing. So what's the final result? As Mette cleverly put it: 'Really good products made by Ikea and sprinkled with a bit of Hay.'

The iconic FRAKTA bag has been given a fresh, modern and contemporary update. As one of the most recognised Ikea products in the world, the FRAKTA is very much now seen as a fashion accessory.
So what's new? Well the size and material has remained the same but Mette updated the colours and the weaving patterns. This new version comes in three different colours, and the team also made an extra durable version.
'It's one of the most known and used Ikea products, but one that no one appreciates as a design object,' Mette said. 'We kept its measurements and updated it in new patterns and colours. It's a celebration of this iconic product.'
