  • Property Brothers star Jonathan Scott is developing a new daytime talk show set to begin filming in late June.
  • The new title, BETTER! with Jonathan Scott, will provide viewers with tips, tricks, and advice on how to build a better daily lifestyle.
  • Scott’s HGTV shows with his brother Drew will continue as planned as he heads into this next chapter.

The Property Brothers are one of design television’s most iconic duos, having taken on over 400 projects over their 22-year joint careers. The pair have very rarely tackled projects apart—until now.

Jonathan Scott teased fans with a “big announcement” earlier this week, sparking rumors of a potential run on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, a Broadway casting, or even an update on his long-awaited nuptials with his fiancée, Zooey Deschanel, but fans could not have anticipated what Scott had up his sleeve.

In an Instagram reel, the reality TV star unveiled his latest project, which ended up being a new daytime talk show. BETTER! with Jonathan Scott has been quietly under development for some time. Now shooting the pilot episode, Scott and his team decided to finally share the news with his fans via Instagram, and they were quick to fill the comments with cheer, excitement, and words of encouragement. One fan writes, “Wait I’m so excited for this.” Another wrote, “How awesome for you!” A third expressed their excitement with exclamation points, adding a whopping eight to their comment, writing, “This is going to be epic!!!!!!!!”

The show’s pilot will be shot in late June in front of a live audience in New York. The prospective show will feature interviews with experts, walk-throughs of what Scott describes as “practical projects,” and general tips on how to make everyday life feel, well, better through home, wellness, food, and health tips.

While fans were radiating with excitement, many noted Drew’s absence, wondering how the new project would fare without Jonathan’s brother, Drew. “Jonathan without Drew, huh?” writes one user. Another joked, “I’m afraid you’re mistaken. We only watched because of Drew (I’m kidding it’s kind of the exact opposite).”

Don’t worry, fans aren’t left in the dark when it comes to Drew’s feelings about the new project. In fact, he took to the comments himself with a fun jab at his twin, writing, “Is this going to be a talk show where every episode is 5 hours long? Because when you start talking…you don’t stop 🤣” Ah, brotherly love!
