I strongly agree with former Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers: I've never met a stripe I didn't like. Whether it's a cushion cover, plates piled high with dinner party snacks, or a shirt hanging in my wardrobe, stripes are, in my opinion, always a good idea.
So I felt as though I'd struck gold when I came across Habitat's £14 wiggle vase in my local Sainsbury's.
Finished in a gorgeous green-and-white colourway with a curved silhouette, it taps perfectly into the striped decor trend — and for just over a tenner. I love that it's the perfect size to fit on my kitchen shelf (many ceramic vases are too heavy), and it looks just as lovely with a fresh seasonal bouquet as it does with my favourite dried flowers (see how I've styled it below).
