I strongly agree with former Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers: I've never met a stripe I didn't like. Whether it's a cushion cover, plates piled high with dinner party snacks, or a shirt hanging in my wardrobe, stripes are, in my opinion, always a good idea.

So I felt as though I'd struck gold when I came across Habitat's £14 wiggle vase in my local Sainsbury's.

Finished in a gorgeous green-and-white colourway with a curved silhouette, it taps perfectly into the striped decor trend — and for just over a tenner. I love that it's the perfect size to fit on my kitchen shelf (many ceramic vases are too heavy), and it looks just as lovely with a fresh seasonal bouquet as it does with my favourite dried flowers (see how I've styled it below).

If green isn't your thing, the must-have vase also comes in pink, mustard, blue and rust, as well as newly launched harlequin designs if you're after something a little different. It's the perfect way to elevate neutral interiors or dial up colour in an already vibrant space.

And I'm clearly not the only one who thinks so. Singer Raye shared an Instagram post with the vase beside her (in the same colourway as mine, may I add...), while the team at Habitat are working overtime to keep up with customer demand.

'When we launched the Wiggle vase in 2024, it sold out in just six weeks and quickly became Habitat's bestselling vase shape, which showed us straight away how much customers connected with its playful, sculptural silhouette,' Anna Cross, head of buying – Home Living at Habitat, tells House Beautiful UK.

'For SS26, we've built on that success with fresh colourways and decorative finishes, including hand-painted stripes and a harlequin print. Stripes continue to lead the way in interiors right now, feeling bold and joyful but still timeless, and it’s been exciting to see how customers are embracing the new designs.'

If you can't get enough of the stripes, Habitat also delivers with some brilliant accessories for summer. I've got my eye on the striped bulb holder (£15), outdoor cushion for garden parties (£40), and the matching picnic rug (£14), complete with a handy waterproof underside.

Few things lift a room like a good accessory, and this vase is certainly worth the fuss. Shop the different colours below, before they're all snapped up:
