As the temperature drops, there are few things more appealing than hunkering down underneath a cosy blanket. Soft-to-the-touch textiles such as faux fur and fleece are autumn go-tos, loved for their warmth and comforting quality. So when we noticed two of these blanket favourites put together in one bedding set, we had to do a double take.
It seems M&S has been tapping into our love for reversible bedding, with a new two-looks-in-one design seemingly every week. We’ve had florals backed with miniature stripes, geometrics paired with plains and, just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we spotted its duo blanket design.
Both the duvet cover and pillowcases feature a soft fleece side and a more tactile faux fur side, for an extra-snug feel. We’d probably sleep with the fleece facing down for the full cosy-blanket effect.
But is it washable? We imagine that might be the question on your lips. Thankfully, yes. A row of button fastenings secures the duvet in place, and when wash day rolls around, simply undo it and pop it in the machine at 40°C.
Available in three easy-to-live-with shades - Dove, Neutral and Cream - the set should fit neatly into any decorating scheme. There’s also a Snow Leopard version, which features the same soft fleece and faux fur combination with a subtle animal-inspired print if you fancy introducing a little more pattern.
Giving you two looks in one, this feels like a very easy upgrade. Rather than layering the bed with separate blankets and throws, you get two of winter’s favourite textures built into a reversible set.
