There is, however, one colour that still reigns supreme and Anglian Home Improvements expects its popularity to grow further. While Anthracite Grey continues to be 'the king of modern door colours', Sage Green and the softer Agate Grey are stepping in to 'bridge the gap between a modern, sharp look of Anthracite with the traditional softness of stone'.

‘We'll see grown-up reds such as burnt orange adorning front doors,’ says Natalie Mitchell. While orange is set to take centre stage, rich dark browns and softer terracotta tones offer beautiful alternatives with similar depth and character.
