Wondering how the other half lives? Well, thanks to a new Lustworthy Listings Explorer tool, you can now snoop inside the most extravagant homes around the country.
Launched by money.co.uk and powered by Zoopla, the clever tool updates in real time so you can easily explore the super mansions for sale in your area. From helipads to swimming pools and cinema rooms, simply type in your desired location and explore the amazing abodes nearby.
So how does it work? All you need to do is enter in a postcode or area, such as 'Cardiff' or 'SW2', and it will filter all the mansions for sale in that region. As well as linking out to the property listing, it will also provide you with the monthly mortgage repayments and how much deposit is needed.
To coincide with the launch of the tool, research found that 57 per cent of the UK spend their free time browsing property portals like Zoopla and Rightmove, meanwhile two fifths (82 per cent) admit using property sites as escapism, searching for homes priced significantly higher than their top-end budgets.
'Our Lustworthy Listings explorer has been created in order to help users gain a fascinating insight into how the other half live,' says James Andrews, senior personal finance editor at money.co.uk.
'The explorer reveals how much some of the most stunning homes for sale in the UK would cost in terms of minimum deposits and monthly repayments. It also shines a light on the varying asking prices of expensive estates across different regions, cities and postcodes of the UK.'
Elsewhere in their research, they also found that bored Brits spend up to 75 minutes each week lusting over expensive properties, while a further 28 per cent said they use Instagram to seek out interior design trend ideas.
