The early aughts are so back. And, no, we’re not referring to Y2K style or the Devil Wears Prada sequel. HGTV just announced that it’s bringing back Crashers for its 2026 lineup.

If you know, you know, but just in case you don’t? The Crashers format—specifically shows like House Crashers, Yard Crashers, Bath Crashers, and Kitchen Crashers—dominated the improvement channel from 2008 to 2012. The premise was that a team of renovators would ambush an unsuspecting person and do a 72-hour makeover in their home.

While the “client” might have a say in the area the team takes over, they have to follow some rules: They must vacate their home for three days, and they’ll have no say in the design direction. Oh, and did we mention the project starts immediately? Like, no time to clean your house or get it camera-ready. Plus, these homeowners aren’t expecting a dramatic home transformation. According to HGTV, the show’s host will totally ambush them at a home improvement store, furniture boutique, or even at their neighborhood paint shop.

As for the host? Jonathan Knight, HGTV star and New Kids on the Block alum, will be taking the reins of this 13-episode season. Not only is Knight no stranger to an epic comeback, but he predicts Crashers will become even more relatable in 2026.

“Everyone has that one space that really needs work,” he said in a press statement. But they have no time, no money, and no idea where to start—and that’s where I come in. I love a challenge and especially one that’s going to change someone’s life in 72 hours.”

Knight might love the challenge, but we’re excited to watch it all play out on the small screen. When HGTV posted an Instagram announcing the reboot, fans flooded the comments with praise. “Yay!” one person commented. “Our favorite home renovator is back!!!” “I don’t always watch TV, but when I do, it’s Jon Knight on HGTV,” another wrote. A third simply said, “I sacrifice my house as tribute.”

Can’t wait to check out the jaw-dropping reveals for yourself? Mark your calendars: Crashers will premiere on Monday, June 8, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV.
