Outdoor wood paint is the most popular exterior trend in the UK, with over 12,000 monthly searches as Brits give their outdoor spaces a facelift.
As part of Dulux Weathershield's inaugural Great British Exterior Trends Report, the team looked at the most searched-for queries across the country, as well as popular exterior posts on Instagram using hashtag data.
With interior trends evolving from the inside out, it wasn't surprising to see grey paint had also made the list. As households continue to prioritise kerb appeal and up the desirability of their property, other exterior trends gaining attention include brick and uPVC door paint, as well as white masonry paint.
If you're considering an upgrade to the exterior of your home, a new paint job is a great place to start. 'The colour you paint the outside of your house probably says more about you than the clothes you wear and the car you drive so it's important to choose a palette that you and your neighbours will love for years to come,' says Marianne Shillingford, Creative Director at Dulux.
'Colours that work with the building materials and the surrounding landscape are probably the most popular for painted masonry, eaves and window frames but when it comes to front doors and gates, we tend to throw caution to the wind and add a good slug of something that makes us happy and will attract big smiles and admiring glances from passers-by.'
