Some flower fields even offer pick-your-own services so you can take a bunch home with you. Please note that many locations require you to pre-book (even if they are free), so always check before you travel.

Over in Hertfordshire, Hitchin Lavender is in full bloom from June to mid-August. Just 40 minutes from central London, it's one of the most Instagrammable flower fields in the UK, with more than 30,ooo hashtags.
Planning a visit this summer? You'll find 25 acres of land, a 17th century barn and a sea of gorgeous lilac. In their 2024 ranking, Premier Inn named Hitchin as one of the most beautiful flower fields in the world.
The National Trust's Rhossili Bay is home to 15 hectares of wildflower meadows and over 17 sunflower fields. Located along the beautiful South Gower coastline in Wales, it's a breathtaking maze-like display to enjoy each summer.
Situated in the Wyke Manor Estate, the famous confetti fields from the Real Flower Petal Confetti Company are well worth exploring. Open to the public from 26th June until 6th July this year, you'll find hundreds of beautiful, natural and biodegradable flowers.
Tulleys Farm in West Sussex might be best known for its impressive pumpkin patches, but have you been to visit their colourful fields of tulips in spring?
Their annual Tulip Fest, dubbed 'A taste of Holland', offers visitors the chance to wander among an incredible 1.5 million tulips (though they don't all bloom at the same time). The fields boast 100 different tulip varieties in a vibrant tapestry of colours, ranging from the deepest purples and blues to the most luminous yellows and reds.
Sadly, this year's tulip festival has already wrapped up and won't return until May 2026. In the meantime, however, you can browse upcoming seasonal events on the farm's website.
Nestled in the South Downs, Lordington Lavender offers over 10 acres of beautiful Mailette lavender – a French Provencal variety famed for its high-quality oil. The field was first established in 2002 by local farmer Andrew Elms and now provides a haven for wildlife, including skylarks and barn owls.
The field is open to the public for only five days a year, so don't miss out. Visit from Wednesday, 16th until Sunday, 20th July 2025, no pre-booking required.

The cheery sunflowers at Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park in Cheltenham will brighten your mood. Founded to help protect rare breeds of farm animals in 1971, you'll find thousands of sunflowers and wildflowers, alongside an enchanting maze, weaving crafts, and more.
The flower fields are open from 19th July until 31st August this year. Visitors can bring their dogs and even pick their own.
Set against the backdrop of the Cotswolds countryside, this breathtaking lavender field, which belongs to the family-run Hill Barn Farm, is the ultimate spot to visit this summer. Follow them on Instagram to watch as the lavender blooms.

In the springtime, the grounds of Brodie Castle in Scotland are carpeted with 100 varieties of daffodils. But even if you've missed daffodil season, Brodie Castle is the perfect picnic spot in summer.
The castle and its Playful Garden, a family-friendly play zone, are open from March until December for guided tours or just to wander across the grounds. Access to the garden is free.
