Vibrant foliage, cozy nights in, soups, and sweaters: What’s not to love about fall? If I’m being totally honest, it’s the seasonal decor for me. (I know, this is a hot take.) Breaking out the same scented candle, decorative gourds, and fiery accessories year after year feels...well, predictable. Basic, even. But if you ask the designers behind Anthropologie’s new fall 2026 home collection, this year’s also the perfect opportunity to rethink the status quo.

“[Our new drop] honors the past while making room for personality, spontaneity, and a fresh point of view,” says Rachael Bennett, a senior design director at Anthropologie Home. “We want to create pieces that invite people to experiment, collect, and ultimately make their homes feel uniquely their own.”

Without further ado, if, like me, you’re bored of your current stash of seasonal decor and want to give your space a refresh, here are three trends to tap into—they will be everywhere for fall.

Embrace Warm, Grounding Colors

Since color is one of the easiest ways to make a statement, Anthropologie’s design team is looking past the standard reds, oranges, and yellows associated with autumn. Instead, this season is all about embracing warm, grounding color with unexpected moments of vibrancy.

“These juxtapositions bring a modern energy to the warmth and nostalgia of the collection,” Bennett says. “We love unexpected combinations like sage with mocha and goldenrod, burgundy with indigo and bright blueberry, or chocolate brown with butter yellow and golden hues and a hit of mint.”

Opposites attract with the Siggies Drink Table, where a spindled, merlot-tinged base is topped with a baby blue surface. The mossy velvet fabric on the Merve Kahraman’s Floral Coffee Table Ottoman is punctuated with a light pink trim. Or, for a smaller touch, reach for a lumbar pillow, which has orange and fuchsia stripes.

Incorporate New Autumnal Motifs

Autumn is typically associated with pumpkin, leaf, and gourd motifs—rethink this for fall. This season, Anthro has botanical prints as well as vegetable motifs to bring a little whimsy to fall’s natural beauty. “We don’t want nature to feel overly literal,” Bennett explains. “They bring a sense of warmth and familiarity while still leaving room for imagination, helping create homes that feel personal and welcoming.”

Instead of the go-to squashes and carrots, Anthro’s radish and artichoke motifs will whet your appetite.

Lean Into Vintage-Inspired Pieces

In order to find what’s new in home decor, Anthropologie revisited the past. The brand’s fall line is packed with vintage-inspired pieces that are a delightful nod to yesteryear. Paulo Kos, senior design director at Anthropologie Home, is a big fan of the colorful, Venetian-inspired chandelier. “It reimagines a classic by paring
back some of its elements and playing with color in a way that makes it feel new again,” he says.

Meanwhile, Bennett is fond of the walnut-shaped candle, which is designed to look like something plucked from a Paris flea market. Want to go big with a piece of furniture? You can’t go wrong with Anthropologie’s beautiful tapestry dining chairs.
